In three days, the events moved the entire ecosystem and showed significant growth in various professional categories

The 15th edition of EXPOBOR and PNEUSHOW, the main business events for the rubber and tire retreading market, ended last Friday (28) at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo. For three days, it brought together the main players in these markets, providing a unique environment for networking, business, innovation and news. EXPOBOR and PNEUSHOW 2024 marked not only the annual meeting of the sector, but also the significant milestone of 15 editions.

The fairs were visited by 9,600 people, showing a 20% increase in attendance compared to the last edition. Industry professionals from all Brazilian states and 20 countries took part in the various activities, including talks and exhibitions, promoting business and finding out what’s new in the sector from the 193 exhibitors.

“The diversity of exhibitors and the variety of products presented were highlights of this edition, which showed the innovation and sustainable actions that constantly drive the rubber industry. From large companies to new exhibitors, EXPOBOR and PNEUSHOW 2024 provided an environment conducive to the exchange of ideas, the launch of innovative products and the strengthening of strategic partnerships,” says Renato Cordeiro, head of product at Francal, the organizer of EXPOBOR and PNEUSHOW. 

Strategic insights

In addition to presenting news and trends, EXPOBOR and PNEUSHOW featured a program of lectures and debates with industry experts, who presented ideas, strategies and trends for the future of the segment. In all, there were more than 15 presentations on the two stages, which exceeded 30 hours of programming and were attended by more than a thousand spectators.

CELEBRATING INNOVATION AND EXCELLENCE IN THE BRAZILIAN INDUSTRY

The rubber and tire retreading sector celebrated the innovation and excellence of the Brazilian industry at the ceremony to announce the winners of the first edition of the Expobor Brasil Award and the Renova Pneu 2024 Award, novelties of the 15th edition of the EXPOBOR and PNEUSHOW fairs.

Created to highlight and encourage the Brazilian rubber artifacts market, the Expobor Brasil Award has the expertise of Francal, EXPOBOR and the seal of approval of the Union of Rubber Artifacts and Tire Retreading Industries of the State of São Paulo (SINDIBOR) and the Brazilian Rubber Artifacts Industry Association (ABIARB).

The RenovaPneu 2024 Award, in turn, is an initiative promoted by Francal and PNEUSHOW, with the support of the Brazilian Association of Tire Retreaders of the State of São Paulo (ARESP), and the Brazilian Association of the Tire Retreading Segment (ABR), with the aim of recognizing and celebrating excellence, innovation and sustainability in the tire retreading sector.

The RenovaPneu 2024 Award, in turn, is an initiative promoted by Francal and PNEUSHOW, with the support of the Brazilian Association of Tire Retreaders of the State of São Paulo (ARESP), and the Brazilian Association of the Tire Retreading Segment (ABR), with the aim of recognizing and celebrating excellence, innovation and sustainability in the tire retreading sector.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the celebration of the presence of women in the industry. The winner in Women in Retreading, one of the categories of the RenovaPneu 2024 Award, was Caroline Maldaner, from FM Pneus.

The ceremony also paid tribute to Edgar Solano Marreiros, founder of Produflex and one of the creators of EXPOBOR.

Finally, the big winners of the Excellence category were announced, rewarding the companies that received the highest number of votes combined from all the participants in each competition.

For the Expobor Brasil Award, Central das Correias e Correntes & Mendonça Borrachas won the Excellence category. In the Renova Pneu 2024 Award, the big winner was VIPAL Borrachas. The two winning companies were awarded a trip to an international event in the sector in 2025.
